Internationally known as a singer and songwriter, Bob Dylan began taking painting lessons in the 1970s from New York painter Norman Reaben. Exhibited several times in his country, in the United States, Bob Dylan chose Château La Coste for his first exhibition in France.
Following his Drawn Blank in Provence exhibition in 2022, Bob Dylan decided to produce a limited edition. This artist revisits the classics of painting, landscape, equine portrait, still life, like the painting Still Life with Peaches which inspired this edition. This still life in close view, from above, is made up of chairs and a table on which an Italian coffee maker, an ashtray and baskets take place. This drawing is the sketch of a painting created in 2009, presented during the exhibition.

Internationalement connu comme chanteur et auteur-compositeur, Bob Dylan est aussi réalisateur, acteur, discjockey et artiste visuel. L’une des figures les plus influentes et parfois les plus controversées de la musique des cinq dernières décennies.
Né dans une communauté juive très unie dans le Minnesota le 24 mai 1941, Bob Dylan passe un an à l’université en 1959 avant d’abandonner et de s’installer à New York. En 1961, il commence à jouer dans divers clubs et signe avec Columbia Records. L’année suivante, il produit son premier album et change officiellement son nom en Bob Dylan.
Dylan fait remonter ses origines d’artiste visuel au début des années 1960, lorsque quelques pochettes d’albums telle que Music from Big Pink (1968) ont attiré l’attention du public grâce à ses dessins. C’est à cette époque qu’il reçoit ses premières peintures à l’huile en cadeau pour ses 27 ans et demande à son voisin, l’artiste américain Bruce Dorfman, de lui montrer comment les utiliser. En 1974, Dylan a passé deux mois fondateurs à étudier l’art avec l’artiste américain Norman Raeben et son intérêt pour la peinture s’est vraiment affirmé.
