Pour ce faire, elle utilise tous les supports possibles: livres, photos, vidéos, films, performances, etc. Depuis la fin des années 1970, elle a exposé partout dans le monde et a développé un style immédiatement reconnaissable pour ses éléments narratifs et sa combinaison fréquente de textes et d'images qui brouillent les frontières entre réalité et fiction, entre le public et l'intime, entre art et vie.

Sophie Calle is a French artist, photographer, writer and director. Her work as an artist consists of turning her life, and in particular the most intimate moments, into a work of art. To do this, she uses all possible media: books, photos, videos, films, performances, etc. Since the end of the 1970s, she has exhibited all over the world and has developed a style that is immediately recognisable for its narrative elements and its frequent combination of texts and images that blur the boundaries between reality and fiction, between the public and the intimate, between art and life. Sophie Calle has a special relationship with Château La Coste with a major exhibition in 2018 featuring three of her famous series, 'Que faites-vous de vos morts', 'Les Tombes' and 'Douleur Exquise', and a permanent work 'Dead End' on the Art and Architecture trail.
