I decided to photograph the car park of Chateau La Coste, as it was a part that I felt was unexploited and hidden. The car park being darker and more raw, I wanted to work on this place where everyone passes but no one really stops. I added the green quad bike because it is related to my previous work (motorbikes, T-Max, etc) and I played on its levitation with the effect of an apparition in this empty room. The addition of the neon green was to add contrast between the grey walls and make the "apparition" even more impressive.

Before she came to the École Kourtrajmé, Eva Sherraf voiced her opposition to social injustices through collages posted on the walls of paris. Her political concerns could also be seen in her contributions to the exhibition 2020 Jusqu’ici tout va bien at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, where her video work featured images of police violence from the 1990s until today.

Her artistic practice has brought her to photography, where her montages catch the viewers attention with the unexpected, the element of surprise, almost an uneasiness, while her works in mixed media open up the world of the artists imagination.

“ I decided to photograph the car park of Château La Coste as it was an area which seemed to me unexplored and hidden. I wanted to work in this darker, raw place, through which everyone passed but no one really stopped.

I added the green quad to make a link with my earlier work (motorbikes, T-Max scooters, etc) and I played with the effect of levitation to create the impression of floating in this empty space.

The addition of this green glow was to add a contract between the grey walls and make the “floating” effect even more impressive. “
